How to link alumni.ubc.ca email alias to my outlook account

Question

• I have a university alumni mail forwarding service which was linked to my outlook account.
• Email was forwarded from this alumni.ubc.ca email to my outlook account automatically
• I was able to send emails from the Desktop web page by choosing this email alias.
• The problem used to happen when using outlook on android (the app, or the webpage), this alias cannot send emails.
• I tried to unlink it and start fresh to fix this issue, but now I cannot link this alias at all (it says I cannot add a university or work alias to outlook) although this is supposed to be my personal graduate email.

Any help?
