How to navigate and show the content of custom Tab

Hi, I have been trying to figure out how exactly does React sample app works.
As per the below image, I want to navigate to the Test tab to show the test page content. Currently, it shows the same content as the Personal tab. It does not seem like it navigating at all. I use the following sample app https://github.com/OfficeDev/TeamsFx-Samples/tree/v2.4.0/hello-world-tab-with-backend
I have zero idea how this even works.
