Sharepoint list permission

Hi,

In sharepoint , I have a list for issue tracking . there is two groups . Group A want to access and edit all the columns but Group b only need to update the particular column. they dont need to edit the other columns .

i have tried to create a lookup column, if makes the group A people also not able to edit the column .

Please suggest how can i customize the permission for the list .

    In the SharePoint, we could customize permissions for site, list or library and item.

    There is no option to customize permissions for one particular column.

    If users have edit permission for list, then they can edit all columns in the list.
