Hi,

One of the user laptops is showing "The device is write protected" message for any USB disk we connect to it. The same devices are working on other pcs. The antivirus is not blocking the access.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

    Firstly, make sure the switch is not set to "Lock" or "Read-Only" position.

    ==========

    Right-click on the USB drive and select Properties.

    Go to the General tab.

    Uncheck the "Read-Only" attribute box if it's selected.

    Click "Apply" and "OK".

    ==========

    Create a new user account and check.

    ==============

    If required back up the drive and then format.
