performance issue with ISCSI initiaior on Windows 2019 datacenter

Good morning,

I have a major performance issue with ISCSI initiaior on Windows 2019 datacenter.

I am migrating a Hyper-V cluster from windows 2012R2 to 2019. In my scenario, I have multiple Dell PE740s and one Dell EMC Compellent SC5020.

These PE740 nodes have a read and write rate of 1200MB / sec when on windows 2012R2.

Those same nodes, reinstalled in windows 2019, with the same configuration lower the performance to 200MB / sec in writing and 600MB / sec reading. The write rate often drops to 20MB / sec.

Taken actions:

The MPIO, iSCSI and NICS configurations (jumbo packets, etc) are the same for a win2012 and win2019 node.

I am not seeing error events in eventvwr.

I would like to know if it is a known error and that you can help me understand how to solve it.

Thank you!

    Hi,
Could you please tell me how did you reinstall windows 2019?
If you use Cluster OS Rolling Upgrade, you can read the following article and make sure that you have followed all those steps and have configured all things right.

    Thanks for your time!
    Best Regards,

Hello! It is a clean reinstallation, with reformatting of the file system. I observe the performance problem before adding the node to the new cluster. I tried to reinstall the node with windows 2019, reconfigure iSCSI, MPIO, NICs, and the problem persists (R / W rates 10-200MB / sec). However, the rest of the nodes in windows 2012 maintain a correct performance (R / W rates 1200-1600MB / sec).
