Re-activate azure subscription

I signed up a free 30 day subscription a while back and promptly got distracted by other projects. Now I've got some time I'd like to get back to this project, but the 30 days has expired and my subscription is now disabled. I am the owner of the subscription, and my name is the only one that appears in the billing details.

  • If I try and upgrade the subscription, I'm met with "You must have an owner role for the billing account. Find a billing account owner at Access control (IAM) and ask them to grant you this role."
  • If I try IAM (billing profile -> Access control (IAM)) I get "We’re unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later or contact Azure support."
  • If I try and view subscriptions through my billing profile -> products + services -> azure subscriptions, I'm told "You don't have access to make this request."
  • If I try and make a support ticket through the portal support page I get "Sorry, we couldn’t create a support request for this subscription as it may be disabled. Get help for disabled subscriptions at http://aka.ms/AzureSubHelp"
  • If I try and make a support ticket through [http://aka.ms/AzureSubHelp] I'm redirected to the portal support page.

    Hi Dominic Jack,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

did you check if this is the case?

The Owner Role that you have assigned to is in for the resource Group as its showing This Resource. If it was assigned to Subscription then it would have been seen as Subscription(Inherited) in the resource group level.

have you created some resources in this subscription hence you cannot create another free trial for studying?
