We are investigating why no data appears when we click on the numbers for "Applications Discovered" and "View Dependency" in the Discovered Servers view within our Azure Migrate project. We have been capturing dependency analysis and software inventory for over a week.

Hello @Seyi Suleman Thank you for reaching out to us and sorry for the inconvenience caused to you!

If you have been capturing dependency analysis and software inventory for over a week, and you are still not seeing any data when you click on the numbers for "Applications Discovered" and "View Dependency" in the Discovered Servers view within your Azure Migrate project, there are a few things you can check:

Check the status of the dependency analysis: Dependency analysis can take some time to complete, especially if you have a large number of servers or complex dependencies. Check the status of the dependency analysis to ensure that it has completed successfully. You can do this by going to the Servers tab in Azure Migrate and selecting the appliance that you are using for dependency analysis. The status of the dependency analysis will be displayed in the Dependencies (agentless) column.

Check the configuration of the dependency agent: If you are using the dependency agent to capture dependencies, ensure that it is installed and configured correctly on all of the servers that you want to monitor. You can check the configuration of the dependency agent by going to the Servers tab in Azure Migrate and selecting the appliance that you are using for dependency analysis. Click on the Dependency agent tab to view the status of the agent on each server.

Check the firewall settings: If you are using the dependency agent to capture dependencies, ensure that the necessary ports are open in the firewall on each server. The default port used by the dependency agent is 443, but you can configure this to use a different port if necessary.

Check the configuration of the dependency tracking module: If you are using the dependency tracking module to capture dependencies, ensure that it is configured correctly on each server. You can check the configuration of the dependency tracking module by following the instructions in the Azure documentation for the specific module that you are using.

Check the time range: Make sure that you are viewing the correct time range for the data that you want to see. By default, Azure Migrate displays data for the last 24 hours. You can adjust the time range by clicking on the Time range button in the top right corner of the screen.

If you have checked all of these items and are still not seeing any data when you click on the numbers for "Applications Discovered" and "View Dependency" in the Discovered Servers view within your Azure Migrate project, you may need to consult with a Microsoft support professional for further assistance.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance!
