Can I use variables in comments of Team Configuration Templates?

In the Project Settings, Boards-Team Configuration, Templates section you can add/update templates to be applied to the Azure Work Items. The templates can update fields in the Work Item and there is also a section to add comments to the Work Item. Is it possible variables in the comments section with the Current Sprint Version and Current Date for example?

You cannot use variables directly in Azure DevOps work items and comments. However, variables can be utilized programmatically through APIs or tools like Power Automate, rather than within the Team Configuration Templates themselves.
