I want to know which client cache setting will take preference, cache size client settings or client installation property SMSCACHESIZE? For example, I install SCCM client on a new Windows 11 computer, it has 100 GB free on C drive, I specify SMSCACHESIZE=20, and the client settings for Maximum cache size is set to 30%. Which one will win?

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

Per my experience, the client setting should override anything configured at installation time. So the cache size client settings will win and the Maximum cache size will be 30% of the free disk.

Hope it helps. Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,

    Simon
