How do I disable backup in authenticator to remove an account on an iPhone?

I recently got a new phone and added my personal email address in efforts to backup my authenticator and I now need to remove it. When I try to remove the account I get a message to disable backup...how do I do that? I have turned off cloud back up in general settings.

    same issue, I also turned off all backups.
