I am currently working on the IncidentDetails report within the ServiceManager.Report.IncidentManagement module and have encountered a challenge. I am unsure of the appropriate value for the [incident Dim Key] field, as I have not found any references in the documentation. Could you provide guidance or direct me to the relevant resources?

Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi,

I understand that you’re working on the IncidentDetails report within the ServiceManager.Report.IncidentManagement module and are having trouble with the [incident Dim Key] field. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find specific information about the [incident Dim Key] field in the System Center Service Manager IncidentDetails report from the internet.

However, in general, a “Dim Key” in a data warehouse context is a surrogate key that is used to uniquely identify a dimension record. The dimension record could be anything that you want to report on, such as incidents, users, or assets. The value of the Dim Key would typically be an integer that is automatically generated by the system.

If you’re looking for specific guidance on the [incident Dim Key] field, I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft CSS Support. They might be able to provide more detailed information.
