SQL Server inventory tool

Question

Are there any tools you can recommend that would scan all devices joined to an AD domain and produce a report of those running SQL Server and return version related information? There used to be a useful tool called Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit (MAPT), but there may be other/newer options.

MAP = "Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit" is still state.of-the-art as a free tool.

There are some other managment tools available, but you have to pay for.
