Do not qualify for Microsoft 365 Developer Program but need it for certification preparation

Hello,

The Learn module in the Microsoft 365 fundamentals instructs learners to create a developer account to get the free 90-day sandbox to train in. However I am receiving the following error upon registering: "Thank you for joining. You don't current qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription." How am I supposed to complete the training if I don't "qualify", especially for a free resource?

Thank you,

Shawn Enverso

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. The error message "You don't currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription" can be frustrating, especially when you're trying to complete your training.

This issue has been reported by other users as well. The Microsoft 365 Developer Program is currently adjusting the qualifications for the sandbox subscription benefit, which has temporarily paused access to the free Microsoft 365 E5 subscription12. This means that some users might not be able to register for the sandbox subscription at this time.

Here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Check for Updates: Keep an eye on the official Microsoft 365 Developer Program blog for updates regarding the resumption of this service or any changes in the qualification criteria12.
    2. Contact Support: Reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance. Explain your situation and provide them with details about your training requirements. They might be able to provide a temporary solution or alternative resources1.
    3. Use Alternative Resources: While waiting for the sandbox subscription issue to be resolved, you can explore other resources and training materials available on Microsoft Learn. There might be other ways to practice and complete your training without the sandbox subscription1.
