Error code: 0x3 Extended error code: 0x10

i have tried to install IIS on my Windows (Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Azure Edition) free trial via remote desktop login .I keep getting this error

Error code: 0x3

Extended error code: 0x10.

Is it because it is a free azure subscription that why it doesn't ?

I followed the same instructions and had no issues. I used the Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Azure Edition and D2s_v5 VM. Can you let me know what step of the installation process failed for you? Include a screenshot of the results page. Thanks!

The very last stage is where i got the error, which is the screen shot of what you posted above and these where the error code i got

Error code: 0x3 Extended

error code: 0x10.

However i saw an inscription saying activate windows .Do i have to activate window in free azure account ?

@enapeace001 If you are using the official image I posted above it should not require activation. It is possible that there is some issue preventing the OS from recognizing it is activated. Can you check the image details under Overview from the portal as well as check that your VM can communicate with IMDS?
