Hello community,
I am attempting to embed charts in my reports using SQL server reporting services 2014. I am using visual studio 2017 to design my reports. As the task is official, I am bound to its confidentiality. I am facing two challenges while configuring charts in the reports.
Challenge 1: After assigning a dataset to a chart (this dataset is being used for this chart only and uses a shared data source), I navigate to the chart properties to set visibility based on an expression. In the fields section, I see "Report item not linked to dataset". On the other hand, I am able to navigate to my datasets in the fields section for assigning visibility to 'chart area', 'legends', 'chart title'. I have tried the following:
a. Recreating the dataset - No progress
b. Open the project in another system with same tools configured - No progress
c. Assign visibility to 'chart area', 'legends', 'chart title' to see if the chart disappears based on an expression when report is run initially.

I will be in a position to explain my second challenge once I receive some action points from experts to my Challenge 1.

Waiting for a sound reply...

Thanks.
