What is this recent chat of "Call Recorder Teams Prod"?

After getting off a call with a colleague through Microsoft Teams, a strange chat appeared called "Call Recorder Teams Prod".

During the call there was no blurb that the call was being recorded nor that I knew so to my knowledge.

What exactly is this?

I'm seeing "Call Recorder Teams PROD" entries while reviewing a particular user's sign-in logs. In at least our case, I believe that this is the legitimate (official) meeting recording function offered within Teams.

(Though I'm at a loss as to why it would appear in the OP's case).

I got this today.

When I opened a chat with this, Teams stopped responding.

I have the same problem. The chat has been added some minutes ago and if a open it, Teams stops responding

Yes I have had the same problem and I have to restart my computer to return Teams functionality

Just click on the three dots and click on Discard, it will disappear

Yeah, pretty curious about this one, as I also just had it showing up. Not sure what the trigger was and "just discard" comment seems like a recipe for disaster. If we just ignore stuff like this, who knows what ghosts we have in the wire?
