After getting off a call with a colleague through Microsoft Teams, a strange chat appeared called "Call Recorder Teams Prod".

During the call there was no blurb that the call was being recorded nor that I knew so to my knowledge.

What exactly is this?

    @Joseph

    "Call Recorder Teams Prod" is not a standard or commonly known feature or entity within Microsoft Teams. It might be an indication of a third-party app or integration related to call recording that has been installed or enabled within your Microsoft Teams environment.

    I have the same problem. The chat has been added some minutes ago and if a open it, Teams stops responding

    Yeah, pretty curious about this one, as I also just had it showing up. Not sure what the trigger was and "just discard" comment seems like a recipe for disaster. If we just ignore stuff like this, who knows what ghosts we have in the wire?
