New Outlook very annoying bug

Because I have a physical disability, I make a lot of mistakes and have to use the auto-spell checker function in every sentence. When you click on the underlined error using the left mouse (why did you do that?) it highlights. Because many of my error or miss key error, there is no recommendation (given all you AI skills, surely miss keying would be a really spell problem to solve).

When you then try to edit the highlighted words by using the backspace button the keyboard, it Archive random emails in the list of emails. Clearly a bug and very very annoying

    Hi @Matthew Henson

    Welcome to our forum!

According to your description, I did the same operation and reproduced your issue, i am afraid that it is a known issue. As it occurs recently, there is no official solution yet. If there is any official update, I will post it here.

As a workaround, I found that when there is no recommendation page, it is normal to use the backspace key, even if the word is highlighted. Therefore, please click the blank page a few times to make the recommendation page disappear and then use backspace to edit the words.

it Archive random emails in the list of emails.

I found that the archived emails are selected, not randomly. If you accidentally archive an email, you can quickly recall it with a shortcut key (Ctrl+Z).

    Hope it helps!
