Postgres Flexible Server - Segmentation Fault

We have a small database running on Azure Postgres Flexible Server.

Since May 30th of 2024, we've been running into Segmentation Fault
Whenever a particular procedure is called, which has a Temporary table involved
When I use a base table instead, it works fine, but temp table triggers Segmentation fault.

Thank you. We will try a PITR and try it there first.
And plan for a major version upgrade as well.
For now, I have worked around it by avoiding using temp table in this particular procedure (other procedures that use temp tables are working fine).

And now another procedure that uses temp table is showing the exact same behavior
When run from pgAdmin, it immediately terminates my session
This is on a Production environment

This is strange and not expected. I would recommend you to please file a support ticket for deeper investigation and in case if you don't have a support plan, do let us know here so that we can check on other options to unblock you.

Restarting the db seems to have fixed the issue - it hasn't shown up on pgAdmin or our website or any server log since the restart

As I understand, you are getting Segmentation Fault on Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server.

Could you please try upgrading the server version and try if not already done?

Alternatively, you can try to create a new server and check with the same Stored Procedures if that works.

If this does not help, I would recommend you to raise support case for deeper investigation.

We ended up restarting the Postgres database
Since then, we monitored the Server Logs and have not seen Segmentation Fault and the application and database have been working fine

We'll monitor for another week, but I think the restart seems to have fixed it for now
