ADLS Gen2 Query Acceleration

Hello,

As a follow up to this thread:

Query acceleration using parquet does not work with double fields - Microsoft Q&A

I would like to know if and when Microsoft plans to enable the query acceleration feature for Parquet files as well for ADLS Gen2 blob storage. We are currently using json files with query acceleration, but it would be even better if we could use Parquet files. Is there a way we can enroll in the preview feature?

In general, the thread above mentioned it is not available yet. When will it be available?

As checked internally, currently there are no plans for supporting Parquet Files for Query Acceleration Feature.

There is a similar ask in the Feedback forum and I would recommend to UpVote for the same.
