Hi,

Do you have any recommendation regarding the Swap Size/Paging File Size per Virtual Machine? Is it safe that we will recommend that the Swap Size/Paging File Size is equal to the Memory of the Virtual Machine?

Thank you and Regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

It is generally recommended to set the initial size of the paging file to 1.5 times the amount of RAM in the system and the maximum size to 4 times the amount of RAM. However, these are general guidelines and the best settings may vary depending on the specific workloads and applications running on the virtual machine. If the system has a lot of disk space, setting the paging file size equal to the virtual machine memory can improve performance, but it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It is recommended that you monitor the performance of the VM over time and adjust the settings based on your needs.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu
