Stuck in authenticator loop

I have two accounts that use the same email address. My work account uses both my employer's email domain: name@work.com and my client environment email address name@client.com. My personal account uses my employer's domain: name@work.com and there is no secondary address as far as i recall.

I can log in to my client account without any issues. When I attempt to log in to my work account, I am able to successfully log in. But when I attempt to view any Microsoft Partner Network content including my profile, the system prompts me to enter a code from my authenticator app which was deleted and I started over long ago. So I no longer have access to that authenticator code/app. When I select choose another way to log in it displays option 1 as the authenticator app, and option 2 is send a code. One would think that means via a different method but it does the same thing, sends a code to the authenticator app.

I have contacted Microsoft support via phone and every online support channel I can find only to be steered back to many of the same places.

I know I am not the only person with this problem.

Can someone help me reach a human that can resolve this issue with me?
