Hi,

I have created a DLP policy to detect sensitive information on exchange and then apply policy tip on the mail.

This is working fine with the mail body but when I add any attachment with sensitive data then it is not able to detect it.

The issue is only with attachment

PS: I have selected both mail and attachment while creating the DLP policy and my outlook version is 2402

@RSiddiqui - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Based on the document you provided, it seems that the DLP policy you created should be able to detect sensitive information in both the mail body and attachments. However, there could be several reasons why the policy tip is not working with attachments.

One possibility is that the DLP policy is not configured correctly. You may want to double-check the policy settings to ensure that the conditions and actions are set up correctly for both the mail body and attachments.

Another possibility is that the attachment is not being scanned by the DLP policy. This could happen if the attachment is in a format that is not supported by the DLP policy. You may want to check the list of supported file types in the DLP policy settings and ensure that the attachment is in a supported format.

Lastly, it is possible that there is a bug or issue with the Outlook version you are using. You may want to check for any updates or patches that may address this issue.

If none of these solutions work, you may open a support ticket for further assistance.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
