SQL Server Cumulative Updates with Azure Update Manager

Does the Azure Update Manager only apply GDR updates fro SQL Server? Or can it apply the CU as well?

you can automatically install Cumulative Updates for your SQL Server

Refered to Azure Update Manager for SQL Server on Azure VMs

The cumulative updates mentioned here include CUs.
