Dear Q&A

I have to problems, maybe they are related.

I am working in lab 4, in the https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/dax-power-bi-add-measures/5b-lab

  1. When I try to copy from the instructions pane on the right side of the screen, in to the lab, on the left side of the screen, it wont do. But it works fine to use the copy-paste function when I copy snippets in to the lab from the Notepad.
  2. Then I tried to type the words in to the lab instead, and here comes the second problem: The symbols on my keyboard don't correspond to what is written on the screen. The letters and the numbers stille correspond, it is the other symbols like ( ) and ' that is the problem. While fx in this messages to you the symbols work fine.

Is there a prescription for this problem?

Say if you need further descriptions.

Best regards

Sune

    Hi SuneRoedJeppesen-0182,

Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Kindly try as mentioned below.

    1. Copy-Paste Issue:
      • Use Notepad as an Intermediary: Since copying directly from the instructions pane to the lab doesn’t work, continue using Notepad as an intermediary. Copy the text from the instructions pane to Notepad first, then copy from Notepad to the lab environment.
      • Browser Compatibility: Make sure you're using an updated browser like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Try switching browsers if the problem persists.
      • Clear Browser Data: Clear your browser's cache and cookies to avoid potential glitches.
    2. Keyboard Symbol Mismatch:
      • Check Keyboard Settings: Ensure your keyboard layout settings match your physical keyboard in your OS settings.
      • Virtual Keyboard: Use an on-screen keyboard to find and type the correct symbols if the layout doesn't match.
      • Symbol Copying: Copy symbols like () and ' from Notepad and paste them into the lab if direct typing fails.

If you are still facing any issue, please let us know in the comments. We are glad to help you.
