Based on my test, I suggest you roll back to earlier version:
Press Win + R to open Run dialog.
- Enter
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.10411.20011
to roll back to "Version 1808 (Build 10411.20011)".
