JS Link field on Views and CEWP option suddenly disappeared from SharePoint site

Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

Yesterday we noticed that the JSLink option is not visible anymore when we edit view web parts We also saw that we are not able to add CEWP anymore on pages...

Hi @Iniobong Nkanga ,

You have to build SharePoint Framework extensions instead of JSlink. Within the "modern" UI of SharePoint Server 2019 most of those customizations are no longer available. SharePoint Framework extensions enable you to provide similar functionality in the "modern" UI.

Two web parts that are not available in SharePoint for modern pages are the Script editor web part and the Content editor web part.

The PS1 at the bottom would help me however:

It fails – any idea why?

2. What will happen after November 2024? Will we be safe if we ran the script before?

Hi,

1.The error means you are not running the latest PowerShell module. Download the latest SharePoint Online Management Shell.

2.It's safe, you just can't use powershell for custom script setting operations after the time node.

Thank you for your reply.

Yesterday I first uninstalled the SharePoint shell and then installed the latest as in the article.

(I couldn’t install the new version without uninstalling the old one indeed.)

Today, to be sure, I downloaded it again and now it suggests me to uninstall or to repair. So it seems I’m running the correct version.

FYI: this version is installed

But still I get this error:

This is really strange, everything works fine in my test environment.

Try using Windows Powershell run as administrator：
