Hi there, I have questions regarding the EV code signing and MS's root program.

In the following link

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/security/trusted-root/program-requirements

in 3.D.3 it says that at the beginning of August 2024, all EV Code Signing OIDs will be removed from existing roots in the Microsoft Trusted Root Program, and all Code Signing certificates will be treated equally.

I believe if using the EV code signing certificate, the SmartScreen was automatically disabled without building a reputation, unlike an OV code signing.

  1. Does this mean that from August 2024, the EV code signing certificate must also build a certain reputation to disable the SmartScreen?
  2. If yes, the certificates that were issued before August is not affected? Or even the certificates issued before August need to build a certain reputation to disable the SmartScreen as well?
