Hi Azure Community,

We're considering a migration from our on-premises Windows Server Manager to Azure. Our primary goals are to enhance user management, file sharing capabilities, and overall infrastructure efficiency.

We're looking for insights on the following:

  • User Management: How can we effectively manage user creation, modification, and access control in Azure? Are there specific services or solutions you recommend?
  • File Sharing: What are the best options for secure file sharing with granular permissions in Azure? How can we ensure seamless access for our users?
  • Hybrid Environment: Is it feasible to host a local code editor (like Visual Studio) on our server while utilizing Azure for other services? What are the potential challenges and workarounds?

We're keen to learn from the experiences of others who have undertaken similar migrations. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Best regards
