The transform box around shapes, textbox, images and everything just disappeared in excel

The transform box around shapes, textbox, images and everything just disappeared. I believe this is also called the edit outline box. It is the box where you would have the white circles around the shape that you would drag to resize the shape as well as the rotate button. I believe it happen after an update. I would like it back, now in order to rotate the shape I have to enter the degrees manually instead of just dragging the shape.

    Could you please go to File > Account > Product Information, check the version name and version number?

    I also want to check whether this issue occur with all Excel workbooks?
