Paste Link from excel to PPT is not working!

For some reason, I can no longer copy a set of cells from Excel and then copy, paste, paste link, Microsoft Excel Binary Worksheet Object into PowerPoint.

I go through all of the steps, and it returns nothing to the screen. No error message, no anything.

I use this often to create presentations that require constant updates with the most recent cuts of data sets that we are analyzing. It is so much easier to just update links than to repaste pictures over and over again.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Try to roll back to earlier version of Office and check if this method will help you:

Press Win + R to open Run dialog.

    Enter "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.10411.20011 to roll back to "Version 1808 (Build 10411.20011)".
