Hi,
We have scheduled an in-place auto migration for Azure Database for MySQL in order to migrate from a single server to a flexible server. It was scheduled to migrate on August 16th, 2024 (1:00 a.m. P.S.T.–8:00 a.m. P.S.T.).
However, we got a notification from Microsoft that migration failed with the following error message: Migration timeout in step: wait until replication lags below threshold.
Microsoft mentioned they would provide more information after troubleshooting.
We already went through the pre-requisites provided by Microsoft. But I am still wondering if there are any other pre-requisite settings that need to be done for a smooth migration.
Let me know if anyone has faced similar issues with in-place auto-migration.

2024-08-20T18:11:23.9566667+00:00 I have raised a support ticket. As usual, the support engineer is giving some standard nonsensical answers without any proof and reduced the severity to lower because high severity tickets should be solved in 24 hours.

2024-08-21T09:13:17.3233333+00:00 Customer Support from MindTree (Microsoft Third Party Vendor) is very bad. I have been trying to reach out to them and they are sending me answers after googling about the failure. Basically, copy pasting answers from google and sending out emails.

The storage percent started increasing drastically after the migration failed last weekend. i have requested the customer support to fix the production storage percent, they did something on the backend. They did not provide the root cause and what was the fix for storage percent increase.
We still have no clue on why the migration failed over the weekend and what was the reason for storage percent to rapidly increase.
