I suggest checking the documentation, but I believe that the XAML Previewer was deprecated in 16.8; use XAML Hot Reload instead.
The XAML designer toggle icon is missing

I opened Visual Studio today and the icon to toggle the split view in XAML mode to see the previewer for Android is missing. I have that option turned on in Visual Studio options. I also tried updating VS2019 to 16.8.3 and that didn't fix it. Neither did creating a new project or restarting Visual Studio.
