I stumbled into a problem while trying to connect an arduino to my computer. No ports were listed on the IDE. I realized that I was missing COM ports in device manager. I tried adding ports back in the device manager by adding legacy hardware, but I got a error code. Below it is pasted. If anyone could help me it would help a lot. If anyone is wondering I am using a lenovo thinkpad t16 gen 2.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

This error indicates that COM ports is missing in Device Manager.

Please kindly go to Device Manager > Review on the top > select show hidden devices and check if the COM ports now appear.

Meanwhile you can check if the COM port driver is up to date.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
