RRAS, being a server role is not supported in Windows 10 or Windows 11. You need to have Server for that.
If you are looking to set up a VPN on Windows 10, you can do so without using RRAS. Here are the steps to set up a VPN server on Windows 10:
- Open Network Connections: Press
Win + R
, typencpa.cpl
, and hit Enter. - Set Up a New Connection: Click on "File" in the menu bar, then "New Incoming Connection".
- Select Users: Choose the users who can connect remotely. If needed, you can create new users.
- Allow Connections: Check the box for "Through the Internet" to allow VPN connections.
- Configure IP Settings: Click on "Properties" for "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and configure the IP address range for VPN clients.
- Start the VPN Server: Click "Allow Access" to start the VPN server.
