Why does IoT Central duplicate telemetry messages?

I have found what appears to be a bug within IoT Central.

Every message received by the application is duplicated. Time stamps are identical and the data is identical.

The 'device connected' and 'device disconnected' messages which are system generated are also duplicated.

While our devices is writted using the embedded SDK, the same issue occurs when connecting a mobile phone to the application using the IoT PnP app. This rules out any issues with the device itself.

The application was working fine before this issue. No settings were changed when this issue began to appear. It has appeared across all devices in the application.

It is unique to the one application. I have connected the same mobile device to another application and there is no message duplication.

I would like to know how this can be resolved. Considering there was nothing changed within the app I beleive this to be a backend bug in IoT Central itself.
