I want to keep the RD client's session going

I have to take college courses online

so I'm using my computer and my iPad through RD client

The problem these days is that when Ipad accesses the RD client and then plays the online lecture

and closes the RD client app, the video stops immediately and the computer keeps waiting

Previously, when I shut down the RD client app on Ipad, the video was constantly played on my computer, but now it's not and the video stops right away

I want to make sure that if I disconnect from my computer for a while, my computer won't log out and the video continues to play, what should I do?

    Hello,

To ensure that sessions continue even when the RD client application on the iPad is closed, you can try adjusting the Group Policy settings to prevent session disconnections.

1.Open the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).

2.Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Session Time Limits.

Find the three settings on the right pane:

Set time limit for disconnected sessions

Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services session

Set time limit for active Remote Desktop Services session

3.Click on “Set time limit for disconnected sessions”, tick "Enabled" and then select” Never” beside the “End a disconnected session”. Click on “OK”.

4.And then click on “Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services session”, tick "Enabled" and then select "Never". Click on “OK”.

5.Click on “Set time limit for active Remote Desktop Services session”, select "Enabled" and then choose "Never". Click on “OK”.

    Best Regards,
