Hi

On trying out MS Sentinel and Azure, Microsoft gave me a free $200 to use for my free subscription. This subscription has now, this morning, come to and end. I now have to convert to a pay-as-you-go or other subscription. I notified my manager and the company bought me a Visual Studio Enterprise Subscription.

Now, when I try to move my Log analytics workspace to the new subscription it just bombs the page.

Going into the subscription it looks like, I have no permissions or roles attached to this subscription.

Can someone help, with what roles or permissions my manager need to assign to this subscription, so that I am able to use it?

Thanks

I will recommend you first take a look at this checklist for moving resources between subscriptions: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/management/move-resource-group-and-subscription#checklist-before-moving-resources

Regarding the subscriptions, you will need to have at least a Log Analytics Contributor role but if that is not the only resource you need and you will be using the subscription as yours I will recommend an Owner or contributor role on subscription scope.

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you
