Azure recently auto migrated my PostgreSQL single server to the new flexible server. I had been waiting for the migration to finish (which ended up taking far longer than they said), and today when I logged into the portal to check the status, I can no longer see my database. I know that the database still exists because my other resources that access it are working fine, but I have no way to actually see the resource in the portal now. In the documentation it says that the new flexible server will be placed in the same resource group as the old single server, but that does not seem to be the case. Does anyone know how I can find the database?

Could you please check if the db is not residing in a different resource group.
You can also use the Azure CLI to list all PostgreSQL flexible servers in your subscription by running the following command:
az postgres flexible-server db list --resource-group --server-name
If you are not able to see the db name after running the below command. I would suggest creating a support ticket so we can further investigate this issue.

@Oury Ba-MSFT Thanks for the response. I can confirm that the db is not in a different resource group. I used the Azure CLI command that you mentioned, and it does not recognize the server name.
When I use the
az resource list
command to list all resources, it does not show up either.
I can see in my activity log where I got multiple messages stating that the migration was completed and that my new flexible server would be named the same, in the same resource group, and have the same connection strings as the old single server. So I know that the server exists, I just cannot get it to show up for some reason.
If I open a ticket, do I have to purchase a support plan other than the Basic one? I would hate to have to spend $30 to open a ticket for an issue that clearly seems to be an Azure problem...
You should be able to create a support ticket with support plan. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request

@Oury Ba-MSFT We are expriencing exactly the same issue. We cant find our postgres databases anywhere. Everything works, ie the database exists, but we cant see it in the azure portal. (we also use terraform and it things that the db doesnt exist and wants to recreate ut).
If this happened after an auto-migration, I suggest to first restart the server. If after restarting, you are still not able to see the server. Then I would suggest creating a support ticket so they can help you further with this issue.

Thank you anwering so fast @Oury Ba-MSFT .Our problem is that we cant see the postrges server in ther portal, so I dont know how to restart it. Do you have any other suggestions?
The server restart may cause a short outage as the server performs the operation. Please open a support ticket so we can further assist on this.

@Oury Ba-MSFT I still cant see it so it cant be that it temporarly not there. There is no trace of our database server anywhere. I also tried to follow the link you provided to create a ticket but it leads to a 404.

Our product Group has implemented a fix at the back end, please verify from your end and let us know if everything is functioning as expected? If you continue to face any issues, please file a support ticket so we can further investigate at the back end.
