I wrote up more detail here but AI automated moderation seems to have eaten it with something about code of conduct. So keeping it short: is there a place to see release notes / changelog of hyper-v specifically? There's a bit of a changelog for Windows over at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-insider/flight-hub/ for example which mentions hyper-v updates but that's pretty broad.

I'm guessing there is a team out there dedicated to it? And they might have something similar to the System Center Blog https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/system-center-blog/bg-p/SystemCenterBlog

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for your reply. Please understand Hyper-V feature don’t have normal update forum like Windows monthly updates. You can see the overview introduction with below link. If anything changes, the paper will be modified as well. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/hyper-v-overview

Also, for big change in Hyper-V, it will announce in advance in Microsoft Learn.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for your post. As a general guidance you should start with the Hyper-V-VMMS and Hyper-V-Worker event channels when analyzing a failure. For migration-related events it makes sense to look at the event logs both on the source and destination node. Below are the current event log channels for Hyper-V. Using "Event Viewer" you can find them under "Applications and Services Logs", "Microsoft", "Windows". If you would like to collect events from these channels and consolidate them into a single file, we've published a HyperVLogs PowerShell module to help.

You can see the following article for the detailed Hyper-V logs description: Looking at the Hyper-V Event Log (January 2018 edition) - Microsoft Community Hub

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
