Prerequisites:
- Ensure you have an active Azure Application Insights resource.
- Verify D365 FO is running the latest platform update.
Configuration Steps:
- Go to System Administration > Setup > Application Insights in D365 FO.
- Set Environment Mode to Production and paste the Environment ID from LCS.
- Enable User Sessions (Custom Events) by setting it to Yes.
- Set the Environment Mode in the Application Insights Registry to Production.
- Copy the Instrumentation Key from Azure Application Insights and paste it.
- Save and validate the configuration.
Troubleshooting:
- Check that your Azure Application Insights resource is active and configured correctly.
- Double-check the configuration in D365 FO for any errors.
- Use the Application Insights portal to monitor data ingestion.
- Review logs in Application Insights and D365 FO for errors or warnings.
- Verify there are no network or firewall issues blocking data transmission.
- Wait for data to appear, as it may take some time.
