HOW TO MAKE WINDOWS AUTOMATICALLY CONNECT TO THE MAPPED NETWORK DRIVE ON START

Dear Sirs,

The company I work for still uses Windows 7 x86 and we are starting the migration to Windows 11.

I mapped the Network Drive in Windows 11, the same as I did in Windows 7, however it turns out that Windows 11 does not automatically connect to this NetWork Drive when logging in, making ir necessary to acces Explorer and click on the Network Drive for it to be activated and then accesses normally, where when the user logs on he is already connected, the is no need to open Explorer and access the drive for it to connect.

I would like to emphasize that everything is ok with the mapping process, since the network drive has been mapped, the credentials included and the box for Remenber Credentials checked.

I need the drive to be accessed at Windows logon, since the network drive is connected to the company's internal system, when the system needs to be updated, it accesses this network drive to compare the version of the system executable.

Could anyopne help me?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Please kindly try below steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1.Go to file explorer -> right-click on This PC and select Map network drive. Make sure to check the box for "Reconnect at sign-in" and see if it helps.

2.Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon in group policy editor and check

if policy "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon" is checked.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
