Sharing an Excel Query document - that users a login to gain data from the web

Hello
I have created a Query in an Excel document, that gains its data from the Web - using ID & Password, entered under the BASIC option of "Access Web Content".

The Query works well and I can slice, dice & refresh quite happily.

The Excel document sits on a shared drive at work, that others can access, as planned. Other users can open and read the excel query document - but when they select DATA > REFRESH - they are asked to provide the original ID & Password.

Question: Am I able to enter the ID & Password just once, so other users can refresh without having to know or enter that ID & Password to achieve a data refresh?

Thanks, Michael.

    Hi,

If possible, you can try to use the Windows credentials to create the connection, make sure that the website you visit can be logged in with Windows credentials, if you use this method to log in, then as long as all users in the organization have access to it, you don't need to log in again.
