Synapse Activity Error but not activity errors

I received activity error alerts at these times
I navigated to my synapse analytics metrics to view the activity errors, but there aren't any within this timeframe.
The alert is set to trigger and count activities when the activity runs ended and not succeeded.
Or is this alert rule not correct?

Based on the alert showing as "Fired" at specific times (e.g., 06:40 on October 24), it seems the alert was triggered correctly as per your current configuration. However, since you mentioned not seeing corresponding errors in the Synapse Analytics metrics, here's what could be happening:
- Your alert is set to fire when any activity run ends and does not succeed. This includes not just failed runs, but also canceled or timed-out runs, which might not show up in your error metrics.
- There may sometimes be a slight delay in the Synapse Analytics metrics reflecting the error or status changes, so ensure that you're refreshing the metrics page or checking after a short period.
The alert is set to trigger and count activities when the activity runs ended and not succeeded.
If you're only interested in capturing failed runs, you can adjust your alert condition from "Result ≠ Succeeded" to "Result = Failed". This will prevent the alert from firing on canceled or incomplete runs and focus only on actual failures.

I think the response originally said "We are checking with our internal team regarding your issue and will get back to you as soon as possible with an update. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
So I wasn't aware the response had been updated and now I am trying your solution.

2024-10-25T09:12:08.94+00:00 Changing to result = failed returns the same result as not succeeded in the preview, I received an alert for a failed activity in the last 6 hours.
In Synapse Analytics I don't see a failed activity in the last 24 hours.

I’ll check in with my internal team and escalate this issue to the PG team for further investigation. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information.
