When trying to use the sandbox for the "Describe Azure compute and networking services" unit 3 titled "Exercise - Create an Azure virtual machine" I keep getting the error "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." On my personal profile that I'm doing the course on. I tried different browsers and changed my cookie settings and none of that worked. I finally switched to my school account and it worked fine but Microsoft suggest I use my personal account since I will lose access to my school account when I leave. Any advice on fixing this issue?Screenshot 2024-10-25 at 9.11.02 PM

    Hi Yenom Williams,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

It seems you're experiencing an issue with the Azure sandbox. You've already taken proactive troubleshooting steps, such as clearing cookies and trying different browsers, which is great.

Since switching to your school account resolved the issue, the problem is likely related to your personal account settings. A few possible reasons include:

    • Account Permissions: Your school account may have broader permissions or access to specific resources within the Azure learning platform, while your personal account might have restrictions.
    • Account Age: Newer accounts sometimes have limitations until they are more established, whereas your school account may have been active for longer.
    • Technical Glitch: Although less common, a temporary technical issue might be affecting your personal account.

While creating a new Outlook account might seem like a solution, it may not address the underlying issue. The root cause could be an account setting or restriction that can be adjusted within your existing account.

Remember, it’s best to use a secure, reliable account for your learning. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for further assistance if the issue persists.
