My hard disk is completely encrypted after installing Windows 11 24H2 and i cant find the encryption key in my Microsoft account. I have tried with the command prompt options but the key showing up does not match with right encryption key as it contains alphabets insteads of numbers only. Any possible help please.

    Hello,

In my experience, it may be automatically encrypted after some major changes to the system or after major hardware changes.

Please try to find the BitLocker recovery key by referring to this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/find-your-bitlocker-recovery-key-6b71ad27-0b89-ea08-f143-056f5ab347d6

If you can't find it, the only way is to format the hard disk.

Important: Microsoft Support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
