Is there a way to not delete all files when disbanding RAID1 in Storage Spaces

When clicking "delete" on my RAID1 setup in Storage Spaces, it notifies me, that it will delete all data on the drives. Since RAID1 just saves 2 copies of the data, is there a way to bypass this when disbanding a RAID1 array? Alternatively, is there a way to set up a RAID1 where one does not have to delete everything upon disbanding it?

Not as far as I know - refer to https://superuser.com/questions/1223744/disband-two-way-mirror-storage-pool for workarounds

    Hi Ludvig Pujsek,

You can convert the disks to dynamic and create a mirrored volume in Disk Management or using the create volume mirror command.
