    Hello,

To disable the letter pop-up (also known as the key preview) when typing on the touch keyboard in Windows, you can follow these steps:

    Open the Windows Settings:

Press the Windows key + I on your physical keyboard, or click the Start button and select the gear icon to open Settings.

    Access the Typing Settings:

In the Settings window, navigate to “Devices” (or “Time & Language” in some versions of Windows).

Then go to the “Typing” section from the sidebar.

    Adjust Touch Keyboard Options:

Scroll down until you find the “Touch keyboard” section.

Look for an option that says “Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet mode and there’s no keyboard attached” or similar.

Below that, you may find an option related to key previews or letter pop-ups. The option might be named “Show key previews” or “Show a visual when I press a key.”

    Toggle the Setting Off:

If there’s a switch or checkbox for the key preview option, toggle it off or uncheck it to disable the letter pop-ups.

    Save Changes:

If necessary, save your changes. In most cases, the changes take effect immediately without needing to save or apply.

Please note that the exact steps and the availability of this feature may depend on the version of Windows you’re using and the device’s capabilities. Not all versions of Windows may offer the ability to disable this feature directly through the settings.

For Windows 10 and 11, the steps provided should guide you in the right direction for disabling key previews on the touch keyboard. If you’re unable to find the setting, it’s also possible that your version of Windows does not support changing it, or it may be located in a different section within the Settings app.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
