Authenticator App - New iPhone issue

Trying to get email to work in Outlook after new iPhone set up

I have already deactivated the old phone to factory, so it is no longer available which I have learned is likely the issue after that fact now.

When setting up the email on the phone, it presents the 2 digit code and says open the MA app, and when I open the app it shows the same 2 digit code message and does not allow any entry option

I then tried to login to Microsoft 365 online via a PC, but it also presents the 2 digit code, and then when I go to the phone app it does not show anywhere I can enter it the code either.

Please advise how I can log in on any device and get everything restarted and reconnected?
