Hello sir,

Is there any way to update application changes in IIS without down application pool/iis?

Hi @Anantham.S ,

If you deploy application through Visual studio, you don't need to down application pool and IIS.

All DLLs are replaceable, until a user hits the site, application will start again. Even when changing web.config will cause application to reload.

If you still worry about that, you can recycle application pool and restart site after updating.

Dear Sir,

The files(blazor ui dll and api dll) will not update to iis application site while the site is open in browser by using publishing option in visual studio.

Could you please share any idea to update blazor server application files to iis without using visual studio?

Hi @Anantham.S ,

You can use .Net Core CLI in command Prompt. The newer dll file will cover older one.

If i use .net core cli or visual studio to publish the files the opened application in browser will get get reload automatically o asked to reload the files?

Could you please help me to deploy files in iis without disturbing user opened application?

Hi @Anantham.S ,

Both these ways will make IIS reload application. If you opened application in browser at that time, you need to refresh the page so that IIS will reload immediatly. Otherwise IIS will reload while recycle application pool. If you don't refresh page, the resource you requested is cache in IIS. When IIS first loads application, it will generate cache store in server. Cache won't change until next reload.
