Xamarin is no longer supported, Maui is the replacement. Android native is for building native apps in C++. If you are only building Android apps you should look at Kotlin/Jetpack.

Hello guys,
I was wondering what is the best project template for mobile app development. I was reading little bit about the .NET MAUI but I am not quite sure if it's better than regular Android App or Mobile App (Xamarin).
What is your experience with this?

2025-01-01T23:22:22.5+00:00 Just for your information, mobile is a bigger support commitment than desktop. Maui support is typically 1 year before required upgrade to the next version. The mobile O/S have major yearly updates. The mobile O/S will require security updates (plan on a release every 3-6 months just to stay current).
be careful of 3rd party libraries. They are often abandoned, or not kept compatible with the latest releases. Even if the source needs no changes, the build may be out of date.
